Ana Poblette

My name is Ana Poblette.

Twenty years ago, after been for some years a professional publicist, I decided to take a new professional direction aligned with my values, which led me in 2005 to begin my first training in the field of meditation (Vipassanna).

I completed the Master's in Contemplative Neuroscience and the Diploma in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders. During the studies I traveled to India to follow the teachings of the Dalai Lama. I also completed several other training courses and certifications, and earned various diplomas in the field of meditation. During this same period, I was the Principal of a High school, Lycée Freinet in northern Mexico, and Director of the Social-emotional education department for 15 years.

In 2010, I launched the meditation program for students, open to all levels of education, from kindergarten (ages 2 to 5) to high school, up to age 17, teachers, and parents.

During the pandemic, the practice of meditation had been a very important tool for our community to get through this difficult time. Online meditations had been extremely beneficial and helped students, teachers, and even parents achieve greater calm and serenity.

This profound change was a real success, and many benefits were noted by all the academic community. For 15 years now, this program has continued to be an important and appreciated element in the education institutions in the country.

Furthermore, I have studied, worked and organized seminars and conferences with world-renowned psychologists and neuroscientists such as Dr.Richard Davidson, Koncha Pinós, and Fabrizio Didona, as well as seminars with Dr. Hunter "Patch Adams," with whom I have worked on numerous trips throughout Mexico and USA. With him, we have also strengthened the human development of our school community.

In 2021, I built a meditation center on Holbox Island in the Mexican Caribbean, where I held retreats and taught meditation.

I am currently studying the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program with Tara Brach and Jack Kornifield at the Consciousness Training Institute with the High Wellness Center at the University of California, Berkeley.

Back in Canada, I'm introducing the WELL-BEING program, which can be taught in French, English, or Spanish.

The goal of this mindfulness program is to teach all people in general how to develop the skill of the well-being, and with the practice, live in the own experience of the benefits of meditation, such as improved concentration, feeling calmer and more serene, developing their emotional intelligence, strengthening their physical and mental health, and more.

All of these benefits are scientifically proven, and numerous testimonials can confirm this. Practice only requires a few minutes a day for noticeable and lasting results for everyone!
